The BBCM Foundation, is proud to present its new event called ‘BEARS & FRIENDS’, during the 2014 Black & Blue Festival in collaboration with TESTO(STÉRONE) (Montréal promoter/DJ Ron Hamelin) and the American promoter Bearracuda. This exciting new event will feature DJ/Producer Morabito from New York, DJ John LePage from San Francisco, and DJ Mark DeMarko from Montreal/Toronto. It will take place at a new venue never used by BBCM before, the ‘Espaces des Arts’, located at 9 Ste. Catherine Street East, on Saturday, October 11 from 9PM to 3AM. The special SUB-TITLE of this new Saturday night party is ‘BEAROPOLIS’, as a wink to the artistic theme of the Black & Blue this year, ‘INSPIRATION METROPOLIS’, linked to the mythic film METROPOLIS by German expressionist Fritz Lang (1927). BEARS & FRIENDS also means that all types are welcome, not just ‘BEARS’ (bears, cubs, otters, beefcakes and other wildlife) ! The event also is supported by Smirnoff Vodka (the Black & Blue Festival official vodka).

THE BBCM FOUNDATION was founded in 1991 by a group of friends. The mission of this foundation is to create world-class events that attract people from all over the world, generating revenues for the foundation. ALL proceeds from these events are generated by and remitted to the BBCM Foundation who supports organizations providing direct care to people with AIDS and gay community groups.
BEARRACUDA was started in San Francisco in August 2006 and is the largest attended gay bear dance party in the U.S. It has a presence in 42 cities across the world, including parties in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, NYC, London, Austin, Atlanta & Sydney. Voted “Best club for queer men” in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 by the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
TESTO(STÉRONE) PARTY MONTRÉAL was founded in 2014 by DJ Ron Hamelin to create a bi-monthly men-only dance event where all types of guys ages 18+ are welcome: bears, muscle men, daddies, twinks, with no dress-code. The music is sexy, dirty, with rhythmic techno/tech house beats and few female vocals. “It’s all about the music….and the men.”
