th Black & Blue Festival in October 2016

The directors of the BBCM Foundation, organization responsible for the Black & Blue Festival in Montreal since 1991, announce today that there will be a 26th edition in 2016. The Festival will take place from October 5 to 11. The main event, always highly anticipated by countless fans and visitors from around the world, will be held all night Sunday, October 9 at the Pierre-Charbonneau amphitheater in the Olympic Park; a spectacular new venue for the event that was greatly appreciated by participants last year for our 25th anniversary.

The 2016 Festival’s theme and programming will soon be revealed along with the artistic director of the main event. Organizing committee officials have just gotten to work, while confirmation of renewed financial support from Tourisme Québec has only very recently been obtained in addition to the annual contribution from Tourisme Montréal. The team is currently working with its sponsors and partners and various technical and logistical collaborators to implement all the elements necessary to realize such an event.

The founding president of the BBCM Foundation, Robert J. Vézina, is already convinced that fans and LGBT regulars as well as other participants of the Black & Blue Montréal Festival will be present again this year to celebrate electronic music and have fun within the numerous activities proposed during the week. “Our enthusiasm and our passion are still as great as in the beginning and we’ll spare nothing to satisfy the expectations of thousands of festivalgoers again this year.

Our 25th anniversary last year gave us the energy boost we needed to continue our work and our mission,” said Mr. Vézina.

The organizing committee intends to propose a range of DJs and artists of international stature again for 2016, not to mention our local stars that occupy a prominent place during the evening.

Passes on sale June 1st

Even before the programming details are publicized, BBCM announces that on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, passes go on sale. Festival Pass (7 days – $225) — Week-End Pass (4 days – $175) on the bbcm.org website. Also, regular and VIP tickets for the main event are on sale. Those for some other major events will be progressively released as the details of these events are revealed.

Let us note that for twenty-five years, the Black & Blue Festival has enabled the BBCM Foundation to fulfill its mission year after year, on behalf of a cause of utmost importance in our society. This cause affects men, women and children, heterosexuals and homosexuals alike: AIDS. For the past 25 years, the BBCM Foundation has helped fund organizations providing direct assistance to people with HIV/AIDS in Montreal. Furthermore, the BBCM Foundation also supports LGBT community groups.
